Descriptions of Class Levels

Level I

Classes introduce beginning students and students new to the Iyengar method to the fundamentals of Iyengar yoga.

Level ll

Classes are for students who have been regular participants in at least two sessions of Level I. The basic poses are refined with an emphasis on all the standing poses. Headstand and some backbending poses are introduced.

Level lll

Classes are for students who are strong in standing poses and can do headstand, shoulderstand, and are working on handstand and backbends.

Level ll / lll

A combination of Level II and III.

Mixed Levels

Open to students of any level who have previously taken at least one session of Level I.

Ageless Yoga

For those who wish to increase their flexibility and strength and reduce stress through yoga but who may have some physical limitations or require a less strenuous class.
