News from The Yoga Place - April 2008

The next session of yoga is an 8-week session that starts April 28th. Registration is going on now. Please register by early next week if at all possible.
I have just received a confirmation from Swati Chanchani that she will come and teach in La Crosse on June 7th and 8th. Swati has been here to teach and is loved by many who have taken her classes. She not only teaches a good asana and pranayama class, but the way she weaves in the philosophy is inspiring and thought-provoking.
Swati will teach two classes on Saturday that will be open to all levels. Beginning students who are band new to The Yoga Place might find them challenging, but if prepared to be challenged, they are welcome. The classes on Sunday will be for students who have been working at Level I Continuing or above for some time.
Registration for Swati's classes will begin May 1st. The classes may be taken individually, but for those of you taking the Sunday classes, it would be most beneficial to also come on Saturday as the classes may build on each other to some extent.
For presently enrolled students of The Yoga Place who register for any of Swati's classes between May 1st and May 7th, you may take $5 off each class. Please help support this type of opportunity by registering for one or more classes!!
Last week, two of the teachers were gone. Elizabeth was with her daughter who was married on Saturday and Francie is still with her brother, John, who is dying. It is uncertain how long Francie will be gone.
I taught all of the classes last week and was happy to see many of you who I have either never met or who I have not seen in a long time. Though somewhat tiring, it was really a wonderful experience to make those contacts either for the first time or again. I appreciate all the students of The Yoga Place so very much, and thank you all for your support.
